"Why the big difference in prices for permanent makeup?"
The easy answer is: "Overhead & Experience."
* A clinic/nurse with the credibility of a medical director will understandably charge more than someone who is unlicensed, works in a room in a salon, or works out of their house (which in some areas is NOT legal).
* A high rent area will pass that cost onto the consumer.
* More staff will cost you, the client, more than minimal staff.
* An inexperienced tech just starting may offer big discounts to attract clients, obviously charging less than someone with 10 to 15+ years of experience. Usually the lower the cost, the less the experience: BUYER BEWARE. Laser removal is MUCH more expensive then the most expensive permanent makeup.
* Prices also vary because of the lack of regulation in the training and practice of permanent makeup. It's less than someone doing nails. (See "ABOUT: The Permanent Makeup Industry" for more information).
